Hiking clothes – for those who love the outdoors
Are you planning an adventure that includes climbing Kebnekaise or hiking in the mountains? Then there are a few things that you should consider regarding hiking clothes.
For the ultimate comfort during your hike you should dress using the layer principle. It includes easily being able to add or remove a layer as it gets warmer or colder. The clothes must also be able to breathe and transport moist so that it doesn’t stay under your clothes and make you cold. Do not wear clothes that are cotton-based as the material can’t transport moist away from the body. It can be nice and warm in the valley and snowy and cold at the top.
Start with a base layer such as an undergarment, and always bring an extra with you. Then build outwards by adding a hiking shirt or functional shirt and a pair of comfortable hiking pants, if you’re going a long distance. Then adapt the middle layer based on temperature by adding a shell jacket and pants. Always bring waterproof clothing such as a poncho that you can pull over both yourself and your backpack in case of rain. And don’t forget a pair of proper hiking boots – consider your feet as they are going to carry you during your adventure.
At Arrak Outdoor we can offer you a solid foundation and dress you for your next hike. We have been working with outdoor clothing since 1999. We hope that you will have a great experience regardless of where in the world your adventure will take you.
